RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kitchen Supervisor ensures compliance with all federal, state, county and PH guidelines towards food administration. The position must have a California Food Handlers Card. Kitchen Supervisor duty include ordering food, managing provided food budget, establish weekly menu, food preparation, serves as lead cook, management of assigned workers towards food preparation, serve food to patients 3 times per day 5 days per week, prepares and secures food for weekend meals, ensures overall federal, state, county and agency standards towards food services.

Schedule:

Monday- Friday 6AM-2:30PM

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

  • GED or High school diploma required

  • California Food Handlers License

  • Food Safety Certification

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years’ experience as a Cook with supervisory experience

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to manage food budget.

  • Manage preparation crew.

  • Ability to cook meals 3 times per day for 53 individuals.

  • Ability to prepare and secure meals for weekends.

  • Ability to follow through with ensuring all Department of Public Health standards.

  • Microsoft Office Skills

  • Fundamentals of menu planning

  • Knowledge of managing budgets.

  • Experience with ordering food and supplies.
