Requirements: About the Job Job Summary Overview: The Controller is responsible for adhering to detail oriented goals and growth of Company. The controller will handle high-level accounting, managerial accounting, and oversee financials activities of the company. As head of the accounting department, controller will manage and supervise all aspects of accounting from payroll to tax compliance. Will report to the COO and President/CEO and will assist with development if internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed. Must have the ability to multitask and delegate to departmental team as needed. The Controller should be a self-starter, driven, non-micro manager, good strong work ethics, personable both physically and communicative. Major Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

  • Manage all aspects of construction accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, costs accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses

  • Familiar with Ascente, Traverse, TSheets, Telepayroll

  • Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations

  • Oversee payments of all accounts ensuring all accounts are paid on time

  • Process accounts and collections payments

  • Be available to answer questions that may arise

  • Engaging and communicative

  • Able to work autonomously

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor

  • Prepare quarterly/annual financial reports

  • Manage the quarterly/annual budgets and forecasts

  • Keep an organize financial statement for review

  • Monitor cash and funding balances

  • Oversee all payments made for debts, bank loans, other large quantities of money

  • Organize information and statements for audits and both internal and external auditors

  • Define, benchmark and implement operational best practices

  • Comply with all local state and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings and reporting

  • Ensuring company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements Job Title: Controller Minimum

  • Over 5 plus years of experience in field

  • Degree required. Includes special certification required for specific jobs.

  • Microsoft Office XP; Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Multi Tasking Skills

  • Ability to build rapport quickly and easily over with office staff
