Weekends - Afterhours Logistics Operations Associate

The Logistics Operations Associate I is responsible for performing specific tasks associated with the execution of logistics occurring in one of Niagara’s designated geographic Supply Chain regions. This team member is focused on coordinating specific logistics related activities (as outlined below) that occur once a shipment is planned and scheduled to ship to/from customers or Niagara/3PL warehouses. The Logistics Operations Associate I team member supports logistics needs for both internal and external customers such as Niagara shipping offices/warehouse staff, Customer Service, Production/deployment planning, Sales and Carriers.

Detailed Description

  • Facilitate Carrier Pick-Up Appointment changes and coordination

  • Schedule Order/Shipment Source Location changes and coordination

  • Trouble shoot system issues impacting orders that need to ship

  • Track critically identified shipments with ability to provide truck status to customer service representatives in a timely manner

  • Pro-actively identify shipments at risk of missing carrier pickup and communicating to appropriate parties

  • Run reports and sending to various parties as needed

  • General exception management and issue resolution

  • Ability to escalate to leadership team when appropriate

  • Responding to e-mail/phone call requests from internal and external customers

  • Build and maintain relationships with key relevant parties for designated region:

  • Niagara/3PL warehouse team members

  • Core carriers that service the region

  • Customer Service team members

  • Production scheduler/ planning team

  • Collaborate with cross functional regional team members to resolve issues

  • Intermediate knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong business acumen

  • Knowledge of Process Management
