Per Diem/Acute Therapy

Summary of Essential Job Duties:

Perform evaluations;

Demonstrate appropriate treatment interventions and strategies;

Complete discharge planning for patients;

Supervise assistants and students

Command of basic computer navigation skills.

The Therapist-Per Diem is considered employed on an at-will basis with no guarantee of scheduled hours. Scheduling is done based on staffing need and availability. The Therapist-Per Diem staff member is expected to be available a minimum of 16 hours per month.

Qualification Requirements/Preferences:

Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements:

Graduate of an ACOTE accredited OT program or equivalent

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

Valid and current license as an OT in the state of California

Valid and current CPR certification: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)


Minimum of 5 years experience as a practicing therapist; two years in the acute care setting

Working experience with the electronic health record preferred.

Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, standing, walking)

Able to push, pull, lift up to 100 lbs on an intermittent basis; able to bend, stoop, sit, stand and walk without restrictions.
