Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist
The Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist performs a wide variety of routine record keeping and payroll processing activities, including computing wages and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, and processing manual pay requests, payroll accounting and other administrative duties to support the Payroll Department. This position reports to the Payroll Manager. The Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist position requires general knowledge of common payroll and general accounting practices.
Time management of all tax correspondents and deliverables of federal, multi-state and local agency notices
Researching tax laws and regulations and implementing the appropriate process and treatment.
Perform regular and periodic internal audits of various payroll areas and preparing materials for external or internal auditors.
This position in this class has specialized payroll-related duties requiring skill in evaluating and analyzing technical payroll activities.

Adhere to the departments Service Level Agreement and manage customer inquiry coverage calendar.
Protect employee and customer confidentiality.
Research, analyze and resolve payroll related inquiries, problems and general questions.
Responsible for the collection and balancing of time data (hours) from Kronos, for all companies, following set desk procedures.
Maintains strong partnership with Human Resources and IT to ensure that Kronos system performs accurately, as well as on any employee maintenance required.
Follow routine procedures related to processing biweekly, monthly, bonus, and quarter-end adjustment or out-of-sequence payrolls.
Compile financial, tax and payroll reports for both internal and external purpose; submits to manager for review.
Recommend and participate in the development of new and/or existing desk procedures, related to all payroll operations, utilizing knowledge of internal systems as well as local, state and federal policies and regulations.
Adhering to set procedures, prepare and deliver all necessary processes and documents required by FLEX Today and Voya.
Responsible for the coordination of all payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filings. Maintains full communications with ADP as well as strong reference material related to all tax information, for all companies. Role is primary to ADP tax related processes, including but not limited to, quarter and annual amendment processing, tax filing notices (Tracers), Error Correction Notices, and respective reconciliations related to local, state, and federal tax levels.
Research and resolve payroll tax notices for multi-state tax entities.
Provide assistance to business units on payroll tax related inquiries.
Manage all incoming mail and coordinates and interacts with local, state, and federal agencies on all issues relevant to payroll processing.
Develop, maintain, and deliver company-wide communications related to payroll processing requirements and holiday processing.
Responsible for ADP ESS Portal, payroll intranet and SharePoint site maintenance.
Implement best practices and cost reduction initiatives.
Assist with various projects as assigned.
Ensure accuracy and efficiency on all payroll functions.
Responsible for the coordination and communication of all payroll systems related maintenance.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
7+ years of related payroll and tax experience.
High School Diploma.
Strong knowledge of Kronos, ADP Workforce Now, and SAP.
Working knowledge of payroll tax quarterly and annual reconciliations.
Excellent analytical and follow up skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Strong organizational, cross training, and interpersonal skills.
